What is the LDAP Broker certificate?

In this topic, you will learn what the LDAP Broker certificate is used for and what to do if it expires.

What is the LDAP Broker certificate used for?: The certificate is an internal security component of LDAP Broker. Its only purpose is to encrypt and decrypt LDAP Broker settings stored in the Windows registry. These settings include the Active Directory username and password and the organization API key.
Does the certificate expiration affect LDAP Broker functionality?: No. The certificate expiration date does not affect encryption or decryption operations. LDAP Broker continues to function normally even if the certificate is expired.
How do you renew the certificate?: You do not need to renew the certificate. Renewal would have no impact on LDAP Broker behavior or operation.
Does the certificate need to be renewed?: No. The expiration date is not used by LDAP Broker, and the certificate does not need to be renewed or re-issued.
